Step 5. Break from your usual routine. You may have a routine that consists of getting up, getting yourself and maybe others ready for the day, working, returning home to wind down, sleep, and then getting up to do it all over again tomorrow. Get off of that hamster wheel by switching things up. If you are employed outside of the home, switch up your lunch venue by packing lunch and eating it in a different location. If you immediately return home after work, try going to a movie on a weeknight instead. Do something that gets your body and your mind out of a rut. Those who are workout enthusiast know that sometimes you reach a plateau, a place where you are no longer seeing results, but instead are maintaining that status quo. In order to see changes, you have to change things up. Push yourself towards happiness by doing something fun that doesn’t require you to wait until the weekend.
